The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey has been flying for over twenty years. It is in service with the United States Air Force and the United States Marine Corps. The concept of the Osprey is to take off and land like a helicopter and tilt the rotors enabling the aircraft to operate like a conventional aircraft. The benefit of this design gives the aircraft the ability to land in places which are not suitable for conventional aircraft and transit back to base at a much faster speed than a helicopter.
